In perhaps the most quiet finale in "The Apprentice", 30-year-old Brandy Kuentzel came out as a winner. This season Donald Trump gave people who have been affected by the latest recession a second chance to make a decent living through the competition. The finale on Thursday, December 9 came down to Brandy and Clint Robertson.
In the final task which was aired in two parts, Brandy organized a VIP golf tournament featuring Kathy Griffin while Clint arranged a dinner gala with Liza Minnelli. Both had a successful run but Trump criticized Brandy for her poor choice of prize given to the attendants. Trump was not happy with the way Clint oversaid "y'all" which made him "unpolished".
However, it looks like the final decision was made based on the finalists' visions of their future in the Trump company. "I would really learn a lot from you and I think that maybe, maybe I could teach you something along the way," Brandy said, adding that she'd like to work with his children because they are "the next generation of the Trump name."
Meanwhile, Clint left Trump unimpressed when saying, "I would go anywhere you told me to go in the world and I would love it, because I'd be learning under you." Trump said both of them deserved the spot in the final but had to admit that Brandy is "outstanding". He said, "I want to congratulate you Brandy" before turning to Clint and said "Clint you're fired."
Brandy said after the announcement, "Here I am with everything I had hoped to gain out of this entire experience and it's just... I can't even describe how amazing it is. I am the next Apprentice. I'm just so excited."
