Sofia Vergara's Spanish-style yell at her on-screen husband Ed O'Neill has landed her in hot water. The Wednesday, October 27 episode of "Modern Family" saw Vergara's Gloria fighting with O'Neill's Jay about how Andean nation is full of backward, violent people. So fed up was Gloria that she compared Colombia to Peru in a degrading manner for the latter.
Jay began his argument with, "Now, maybe in Colombia ...," before he was cut by Gloria saying "Ah, here we go. Because, in Colombia, we trip over goats and we kill people in the street. Do you know how offensive that is? Like we're Peruvians!"
This quickly became a topic of discussion online, mainly by angry Peruvians. "It's incredible that in a country where everything is politically correct, ABC would have a line of this sort," said Milagros Lizarraga, founder of Peru USA Southern Ca, an online community that communicates through social media.
"Many Peruvians think this is no coincidence, that she knew what she was saying, because an actress has the power to say, 'No, I can't say this because it would hurt my image,'" Lizarraga said as quoted by AP. "Unless she agrees with what she said."
Head of Peru's People's Defender's Office is also demanding an explanation from the show and plans to talk to the U.S. ambassador about the episode. ABC is yet to response to the situation but Vergara, who is said to have the power to change her line, has made clear of her position. Writing in Spanish, she replied a bitter tweet follower, "Get a life!!!!".

'Modern Family' Used Gloria's Line to Upset Peruvians
Fake GaGa and Bieber Show in 'Today' Halloween Fiesta
NBC's "Today" show made it clear that their theme for Halloween this year is pop culture. Meredith Vieira gloriously imitated Lady GaGa in the singer's Giorgio Armani Prive dress at this year's Grammy, while Natalie Morales traded her feminine look for a casual Justin Bieber style.
Joining them are Al Roker as Superman, Ann Curry as Amelia Earthart, Tamron Hill as President Barack Obama, Sara Haines as a French director, Tina Fey as Roxanne Ritchi in "Megamind" and Will Ferrell as the Megamind himself. One by one they appeared on the Friday, October 29 episode through a series of skits.
First Roxanne was tied to a railway with a model train approaching her. She called Matt Lauer who was not at the scene to come rescue her. Lauer attempted to invade a telephone booth to change clothes but it was occupied by Dean Cain. Once it was vacant, Lauer went in, and out came Roker in Superman jersey. He and Megamind successfully saved Roxanne with no difficulty.
Next Earhart came to the plaza stage, saying "Man! That was a long flight. I knew I should have taken the train." Then young girls started screaming as Morales popped in and imitated Bieber's dance moves. But it was Vieira who stole the show with her GaGa performance complete with dancers and a grand piano.
'Obama' then took a podium, saying "As you can imagine, I'm pretty busy right now, but when I was invited to see the crowd at the TODAY Show, I could not resist. God bless America. Happy Halloween!"

Jon Hamm TakesNL' for His Third Hosting This Weekend
For a change, Jon Hamm takes "Saturday Night Live" outdoor in the promo for his third hosting this weekend, October 30. Given the air date, the "Mad Men" star is expected to be involved in a number of Halloween-related sketches. Hamm will be accompanied this weekend by musical guest Rihanna.
The promo is divided into three. The first one sees Kenan Thompson getting the fact wrong about how many times Hamm has been on the show. The second sees Thompson changing his name to Kenan Swiss in attempt to make the "Hamm and Swiss" joke. The last one involves Hamm dashing quickly to propose with diamond ring.
On related news, LA Times reported that Jeff Bridges has been tapped to host the show on December 18. The timing is correct for he's bound to promote his new movies "True Grit" which would hit U.S. theaters that month and "Tron Legacy" in November. Bridges had hosted "SNL" back in February 1983, making the gap between the first and the second a total of 27 years and 10 months.
Cristina is tested to Monitor A Patient
Like "Grey's Anatomy" creator Shonda Rhimes said, it's still a long way to go before Cristina is back on her feet following the season 6 finale trauma. Cristina is tested when left alone to monitor a very ill lung transplant patient. Meredith tries to help her but Cristina believes she is ruined.
Rhimes explained why Sandra Oh's character is moving at slower pace compared to her peers. "Cristina is a person who has identified herself purely a surgeon before anything else," Rhimes said. "For her to be at a place where she's not sure if she can even pick up a scalpel is devastating." However, this would be over eventually. "She has a long journey [before her]. But when she gets a little bit better, she comes roaring back," Shonda promised.
Also in the November 4 episode called "That's Me Trying", the residents are pushed to their limits when Owen puts them through a rigorous trauma certification drill.
Charlie Sheen'swo and a Half Men' Became A Hardcore Sex Romp
Charlie Sheen is set for another porn star embarrassment - his hit TV sitcom "Two and a Half Men" has been turned into a hardcore sex romp. The actor recently hit the headlines after trashing a hotel room in New York during a night of passion with adult actress Capri Anderson, who locked herself in the bathroom as her date went wild.
Anderson, real name Christina Walsh, is now considering pressing charges against Sheen, claiming she feared for her life as the actor punched the door, demanding she come out of the bathroom. But she's not the only porn problem looming for Sheen - Hustler Video bosses have announced they're parodying his show in "This Ain't Two and a Half Men XXX".
The naughty boys behind "This Ain't Curb Your Enthusiasm XXX" and "This Ain't Glee XXX", among other racy titles, plan to turn Sheen's show into a salacious new DVD, which will even make the actor blush. Sheen's character Charlie will be played by adult star Evan Stone, while Jon Cryer's role of Alan will be portrayed by James Deen.
The saucy parody will also feature Jenna Presley, Dylan Ryder and Madison Ivy, who hopes Sheen gets the chance to watch the DVD. She tells WENN, "I love getting to perform in these quirky parody films and to get to have sex with Evan Stone as Charlie is a dream come true. I have a feeling that Charlie is one of America's bad boys, so I think we were on to something when we shot this one."
Meanwhile Stone admits becoming Sheen was "easier than I thought". "This Ain't Two and a Half Men XXX" will be available on DVD and Blu-ray November 2. Ironically, Sheen's real-life porn star playdate in New York, was once a Hustler honey - she starred in the Hustler Video film, "Barely Legal 96".
